Injection Molding

In the field of motor vehicle interior design, achieving top-notch aesthetics and tactile qualities is essential. Beneath the surface of these designs, recycled materials are often used, though they remain invisible to the end user and fulfilling customer standard requirements. Proks Group leverages injection molding processes to economically manufacture plastic components that fulfill these requirements.
Proks provides a comprehensive range of injection molding techniques to elevate the quality and functionality of automotive interior parts. These techniques include fabric and foil back injection, in- mold decoration (IMD), PUR flooding, foam injection molding, and the creation of lightweight components using fiber composite materials. Our experts are available to assist you at every step, from process selection to the commencement of mass production for your components and beyond.

2K Injection Molding

Automotive is a very complex plastic molding sector, where only technologically advanced companies can supply high-quality components required by the most prestigious car manufacturers. At Proks Group, our advantage is that we always consider design with a view to efficient manufacturing by doing design for manufacturing studies. This helps to ensure reliable, smooth-running production in the longer term. The care we take at the design and product development stage ultimately help to cut out downtime and unnecessary trouble shooting time.

At Proks, 2k Injection molding is an innovative manufacturing process used to produce complicated molded parts from two different materials. Through a highly specialized and automated process, we carefully control the injection of multiple materials, including two different kinds of resin, into a single, multi-chambered mold.

Gas-injection Molding

Gas assist molding is a low-pressure plastic injection molding process where pressurized nitrogen gas is injected into the mold, pushing the plastic into the mold extremities, while hollowing out thicker sections in the part.
At Proks Group, parts like door panels and handles of automobiles are gas-assisted injected and molded with a specific shape for structural integrity and aesthetics. This method is the perfect technique for this as it ensures a smooth surface finish and good strength. Our Gas assist injection molding produces parts without compromising appearance and touch feel and functional performance.

Fully automated assembly robots

Fully automated assembly robots perform with precision to ensure assembly results while improving efficiency by 10 times compared to manual labour.
With a variety of plug and play gripper modules, our fully automated assembly robots can handle a wide range of delicate assembly tasks in pick and place, inspection, repeatability processes and more.
In addition, our robots are ideal for flexible production as they can be deployed and operate with ease and save time when changing production line layout.

Welding

At Proks Group, we can help you transform your center console, revamp your heads-up display, or comply with more stringent efficiency regulations by introducing innovative interior assembly methods.
Our proficiency spans across various plastic joining techniques, allowing us to carefully select the optimal joining (welding, snapping, screwing, riveting, pasting etc) solutions tailored to your specific requirements, including size, configuration, joint structure, production volume, and budget constraints. We aim to exceed your expectations with our intelligent design strategies for interiors. Furthermore, our joining solution can help significant savings in overall costs due to less use of materials, no expensive additives, less wear on tools, low energy costs.

Decorative processes

The decorative process for plastic automotive parts involves a series of specialized techniques to enhance their aesthetic appeal, touch feel and functionality.
  1. Chroming is employed to create a glossy & satin finish, reflective surface on the plastic components, adding a sleek and high-quality finish that resembles chrome metal.
  2. Painting is applied to provide color and additional protection, ensuring the parts match the vehicle’s design and withstand environmental factors.
  3. Hot stamping comes into play for the application of metallic or foil-like accents, enhancing visual appeal with intricate patterns or logos through a heated die foil. This process is a cost-effective solution for electro chrome plating.
  4. Pad printing is utilized to transfer detailed designs or labels onto the parts, offering precise branding or information dissemination.
Together, these processes transform plastic automotive components into visually striking and durable elements, enhancing both their appearance, touch feel and functionality.
